B.C. Born artist and prospector Steve Pewarchuk has been working around stone for the past 15 years and has been influenced by many Canadian sculptors. His love for stone and wildlife has turned the past 2 1/2 years of sculpting into a passion of turning rough rugged stones into magnificent works of art.
Steve has an amazing ability to capture the strength and movement of each animal giving them the true essence of their being. He matches the grain of stone to the movement of the animal giving a wondrous sense of balance. He loves to create his sculptures with local B.C. stones such as alabaster, marble, soapstone and serpentine.
The Plaza Galleries is proud to present the fine art of Steve Pewarchuk.
