Sabina

Originally from Ukraine, Sabina is a celebrated Canadian-Ukrainian fine artist whose work captures the profound beauty and majesty of the Canadian landscape. She completed her formal art studies at the University of Kiev in the early seventies, where she developed a strong foundation in classical technique, composition, and art history. After graduating, she and her family emigrated to Canada, settling in the Greater Toronto Area and beginning a deeply transformative chapter in her artistic evolution.

Canada’s vast horizons, endless forests, and immersive seasonal changes awakened a new artistic voice within her—one rooted in heritage, belonging, adventure, and a profound reverence for nature.

Sabina’s richly textured works are created exclusively with a palette knife, developed through countless layered strokes into sculptural surfaces that capture and reflect shifting light.

Through bold oranges and reds, perfectly harmonized with rich earthy undertones, Sabina channels the essence of nature and transforms it into her signature autumn scenes. The result is a powerful interplay between colour and texture, where each stroke evokes the warmth, romance, and gentle rhythm of the changing season. Each canvas becomes a sensory experience—echoing falling leaves, shifting light, and the quiet renewal that defines autumn—inviting the viewer to step into a world both familiar and dreamlike.

Sabina’s work stands as a testament to her deep connection with the natural world, celebrating its enduring beauty, renewal and profound sense of wonder through every season. Through each painting, she invites us to pause, reflect, and rediscover the timeless landscapes that surround us. Her artistic journey continues to inspire collectors across Canada and beyond, preserving the essence of nature in every textured stroke.
